Lighthouse ESL Program
A key focus of Lighthouse’s services is providing ongoing support to refugees through cultural mentoring to help them gain familiarity with the American workplace, social culture, and supporting their adjustment to their new home.
Lighthouse’s English as a Second Language (ESL) program features ongoing language acquisition classes offered both in-person and online. Lighthouse refugee and immigrant clients attend regular ESL sessions to inspire confidence through learning conversational and workplace English including; work-specific dialogues, role-playing, American social life skills, and group conversation practice.
Students are empowered to continue the learning process outside of the classroom with the use of laptop computers provided by the support and grant award through the Clark County Library District.
